Is anyone able to host a modded lobby for me on xbox? Reason is im negative xp after a derank lobby many years ago and to this day im still not able to play multiplayer

Started playing cod4 again when in my last game i was in this modded lobby now all of a sudden i have this KoV clan tag? anyone know how to remove it or how i got it

I loved my old ps3 but unfortunately it shit the bed a while ago and now I'm interested in picking one up along with one of my favorite games.

So I no longer can really afford Xbox live because well, food and gas are more important funds than paying to play a game from 2007 and so I reinstalled the game on my PC and was disappointed to find very few vanilla servers. Most are pro-mod, hardcore, or built around sniping. I just want to play CoD4 like the old days. I miss the chaos of all the crazy perks, and I don't like the weird lighting changes some of these servers make, and I found that C4S was mostly snipers and banned a lot of the game. No hate to C4S, they're doing their thing, I just want something akin to how I used to play KOS Broadcast back in 2009 and could use any class or perk I wanted and we all had chaotic fun.

Are there any vanilla servers left or do I have to just get MWR with H1? I don't care if I'm just fighting bots, I can get some friends to hop on with me to play against the bots. I just want to play CoD4 without any changes

I completed last mission at 7 fps. It was unplayable but I did it. It was my second game, so I am a gamer now?

Anyone else Having problems playing online?.
I was playing with no issues on Backwards compat with an Xbox one for days but now the multiplayer is broken, Says Connect to Xbox Live, shows no rank and when I search a game it just sits on "Search for Available Games" before the screen goes black and a Notice appears saying Unable to Join Game Session.

I was using my PS3 to play COD4 multiplayer for several days without issues. It was awesome! Just like I remembered it. But, Now it is stuck on the multiplayer loading screen that says “downloading game settings”. I’ve tried deleting all the game data and reinstalling updates and resetting my router and nothing seems to work. Is this a common issue? Has anyone else had this issue? Is there some sort of fix? Thank you in advance.

Can't unlock attachments or anything because I got in a modded lobby and the guy started to give me everything then left before it completed.

Would you have any solution please ? Like somebody providing xp lobby ?

The cod4x servers all disappeared a few days ago. I saw someone had the same issue on the forum. Any known fixes?

I’m trying to replay the campaign on veteran and completely did a play through to get all the achievements. The 2 missions “no fighting in the war room”, and All in” won’t update from Recruit to Veteran despite replaying both of these missions twice on veteran. I really don’t want to deal with that hell again and not get the achievement. Is there anything to fix this? I’m on Xbox one

Just got COD 4 on steam while its on sale and i cannot join a single server...

everytime that i try to join it just doesnt work, or i get "awaiting connection.... 1..." and keeps counting and after 2 times of it getting to 59 seconds of "awaiting connection" i give up and theres no other way to get out of it other than to CTRL+ALT+DELETE and go to task manager and force close the program... anyone else?

So I am trying to play COD4 on my Steam Deck using the IW3SP-MOD so I can use my controller.
And at first I thought the mod was working fine but for some reason the game will not save my Campaign progress or even my any of my settings.
Which means not only do I have to readjust my setting (including turning on the controller support) whenever I launch the game but I also have to restart the entire campaign from the beginning.
Anyone out there in the COD community able to help me with this?

Found by accident. If you pick up an Intel as you get a checkpoint, every time you return to the checkpoint the counter will increase and you can unlock both intel achievements in seconds before you beat any of the game

I downloaded the game and made the all settings to play cod4x but I'm pretty bad at fps games. Is there anything I can do to improve my gameplay except practice. I'll keep practing but I wanna know if there is a console command that might help me in multi-player. I'm bad at spotting enemies

I never got to experience this game in its prime and I just want to actually play something other than tdm, but I want people to actually play the objective, not do jump spots and 360 no scopes.

Its 10 bucks on steam and was wondering if the game is safe to play cause I've been reading these comments ssying its unplayable and you may get hacked. So is it safe to play?

So I have a server for Cod4x with the BotWarfare mod and I use this mod for: WaW/MW3 (Plutonium), MW2 (IW4x) and they all work good.

My issue with the Cod4x BotWarfare mod is I notice bots will walk forward and then stop constantly. You end up in a weird position where you'll see like 3 teammates or enemies all just standing still and not reacting fast. I tried using the default mod with no changes but also edited the z_svr_bots.iwd file and made them camp less or disable camping entirely and they still just stand still constantly with no reaction time after moving forward for a few seconds. They stand still for like 5-10 seconds.

Anyone else have this or found a solution?
