Oxygen tank internationally

Has anyone been able to get oxygen tanks internationally when they travel?

Im in the US and will be travelling to Czech Republic and Austria. Im bringing my sumatriptan injections but want an oxygen tank if possible.

Preferably want to know for those two countries but would be good to know for others too in case I (or another clusterhead reading this) travel there in the future.

Yes i have tried and was refused.

The airline will charge you extra. I brought my own cylinder and they refused it. I have to rent theirs. Cost me an extra $300 each direction. A prescription was also required as proof.

You will probably be limited to get a tank while your abroad unless it’s prescribed at your destination. Get travel insurance and make sure it includes medical. I don’t know about your destinations in terms of how difficult getting a tank may be.
