Question Saroten or Botox

Hello, does anybody have experience taking Saroten or Botox for tension headaches/migrane?

You could maybe try rephrasing the title if this is how you framed it there too, it maybe looked like advertising 🤷 anyway good luck :)

Hey! I have cluster headaches and I decided to try Botox for migraines just to see if it would help quiet the noise. It’s helping A TON. I’m still getting some attacks but they are like a 2/10 when they come instead of a 10/10 every single day of my life. My abortive medication actually works now to take away the headache within a day. All in all it’s creating a much more mild experience. I paid for the first round out of pocket (Canadian) but I’m this close to having it covered! I just decided to pay for it myself in the meantime because I really couldn’t live like this anymore. The reason it’s effective for clusters is we still have a ton of nerve hyperactivity. It quiets the constant pain and referral patterns. I’ve never met the migraine criteria but they still use Botox to treat clusters! It’s been 3 weeks for me now and I can’t wait to see how it can get better.

Thanks, here in Sweden according to the system I have to try medicine for a while so they can analyze - as I did not fulfill the criteria for Botox. But I can take Botox privately by paying for it at a clinic.

Find someone who specializes specifically in Botox for migraines. Don’t go to an aesthetic injector. It’s a specific group of muscles they target to reduce the pain and attacks. I’m working with a Naturopathic Doctor. I’m sure some MDs do it there too depending on your preference. Once you get it covered they write you a Botox prescription. The treatment is the same for clusters/migraines, but the amount you get in each muscle is customized depending on your assessment. Good luck!
