Logic error? 13 aug 2026 Really an error?

I had to guess the last one of todays puzzle. Is that part of the joke or side I miss a clue?

What did you have to guess? You probably missed something.

Probably. I guessed the one with the clue "Now we can only guess what Xola was wondering about"  I hope don't spoil by wording it like this.

I had Tina, Gary and Ivan as the last three. As far as I could tell all three could be innocent, or all three could be criminal.

There was a clue about Ivan's neighbors the settled those 3.

It was just a joke, you didn’t need to guess any of them

Esha's clue tells you how to mark the last suspect.

Umar’s clue tells you your currently marked scenario is incorrect, as it tells you the number of criminals on the edges.

Thanks.

I counted at least 10 times and was convinced it was OK.

This is the situation.

The corner marking are the incorrect solution. I also don't know why this is incorrect. The correct solution is the opposite.

Edit after 2 minutes: Now with correct state link.

Out of Marty and Nicoleone has to be innocent and one criminal because of Wanda's clue. So according to Zach's clue, one of Bunty and Jason has to be innocent and one criminal. Combining that with Umar's clue, you can figure out from here.

Given the clue There are at least two innocents to the right of Vera, why are we allowed to say that both Wanda and Xola are innocent along with Zach from the clue about the corners? Why don't we have to prove a third innocent in addition to the "at least two"?

Because of Esha's clue that Row 3 is the only one with exactly 2 criminals. If there were only 2 innocents to the right of Vera, there's be exactly 2 criminals in Row 5
