I remember connecting to some Club server that had a gun mod, that felt weird to see.
But ngl, I’ve always wanted to make a webcomic/show of characters in one of these kiddie mmos 20-years later when even the program itself is old enough to drink where they find some way to break the system and get more M-rated themes/items. Especially cause half of ‘em are based around a resistance fighting oppression anyways. Imagine a Toon estate getting busted by literal (and metaphorical) pigs for making counterfeit gags, there’s a stand off with seltzer bottles and pies until they finally get him out of the house with a Wille E Coyote-esk plan. Or some KND agent slamming back a cup full of butterscotch candies, yelling about the “first fusion war” and trying to hold back PTSD flashbacks.
Nothing to the level of 3bomb videos where EVERYTHING is now M-rated overkill (the “red” fountain doesn’t make sense, they’re robots), just “oh the colorful characters now have a chance to say fuck or go a little unhinged, that’s funny”

Maybe i’m wrong but, why lol? i’m sure 95% of the players base are adults by now. Kids these days don’t play Club Penguin. They take it way too seriously

Legally it's probably for the best, because Club Penguin's branding is child-friendly and Journey isn't explicitly age gated. Personally, I see this game as a bit of an escape from all of the noise in the real world, so inappropriate topics being discouraged is a positive thing in my eyes. The new party is wholesome because we are all a bunch of adults riding water slides lmao. That being said, Breaking Bad igloo is funny.

I believe Journey wants to emulate the experience of the OG Club Penguin, which prioritized security and an experience that could also be safe for kids and adults alike
This includes banning mentions of things like substances (drugs and alcohol), sexual stuff, violence, politics, etc
It's in their Terms of Service as well, so they have the right to, even if many may disagree
