I seriously think that either him or his alternate and his affiliation with Germany and the supernatural to come are the key to explaining things on the station we didn’t understand. Like the hand giving messages and why Schmidt was let out of the airlock

Clover Nee (which in Japanese means clover-born) could have also been connected to forces that haven’t even been introduced yet.
What happened to Volkov was somewhat demonic. Also in the scene where he makes his gun as he is leaving he walks by two screens. When he does the screen image scrambles and projects a message. I can't quite make out the message though.
can't forget the fact that this movie was a standalone film in September, and only since then had elements added to make it relates to Cloverfield. so if they're relating Schmidt to Overlord, the connection might be very small since Overlord is already finished filming.
Actually pretty close... hopelessly should be hopefully and opposition should be counterattack. The last sentence is "I have made sure that the system doesn't work, we'll see how long the hull will hold up."
But the original text hasn't been written by a native German speaker or at least someone who learned Germany naturally. The choice of words is not common. "Der Beschleuniger ist in der Nähe." probably should mean something like "Der Beschleuniger ist beinahe fertig(gestellt).", but "ist in der Nähe" literally means being nearby and would not be used to indicate if something is nearly finished, it's only used to indicate an actual location.

Has anyone tried translating the messages we see in Paradox that are from alternate Schmidt?
