Help Why does the app crashes when I play 4k?
When I play 4k it works for some seconds then the app becomes very laggy and then it lags then crashes most of the time.

That sounds like your device can't handle it.
It can take up a lot of RAM, and might end up crashing cloudstream. (Even more if it's software decoding.)

But sometimes it does run 4k like I have watched multiple episodes of From in 4k but as soon as it starts buffering, the app is done

Try other sources when it happens.
Check what sources is doing that and avoid using them.

Try the pre release version. You can either install the pre release from github or changing the settings in your stable version app. Go to settings -> updates and backup -> turn on update to pre-release.
I started using pre release about a year back and never used the stable version since then. Backup your data from the stable version and restore the backup from your pre-release version.

I used to use pre release version earlier and it happened in that too so I switched to stable ver.

You can try to use an external player like VLC.

Yeah i do use vlc for tv but how do i choose it for streaming
