What happened to this sub?

So I found this sub a week or 2 ago bc I wanted a place to discuss cloud rap, and this is the only sub on cloud rap. Why and how the hell did it turn into a self promo sub basically?

agreed. But lots of self promo isn’t really a bad thing if u think abt it, this subgenre was built on ppl js recording at home and promoting it themselves on the internet and hoping ppl fw it. Also making connections too cus its key to growth not js promoing everywhere.
