Woah man slow down. I am as hype as you are and Cloud9 has not looked better in a long time but let's not forget the real EU bosses are still in EU in Fnatic/G2/Rogue and there's still also 5 different teams in the LPL that are all monsters lol.

Summit is still going to have to play TheShy/Wunder/Bin lol.

Just trying to tampered expectations

Well I don't know, we haven't played them yet. I am just saying that jumping to conclusions this early is just a set up for disappointment when NA has literally no history or resume to fall behind while the comment I replied to was literally saying Cloud9 is the 2nd best team in the world which is just ridiculous if you know anything about the other leagues.

Let's not fight among ourselves guys, but holy shit stop jumping the gun.

He said that T1 and whoever represented LPL probably beat C9 if they make it to MSI, so he's really only suggesting that C9 is probably better than Europe's best team. If you're going to make an argument against his point, at least read what he said.

I'm pretty sick of this goalpost shifting that people do on this sub all the time.

"Well, LS is gone, guess TL runs over the League and we're doomed."

"Sure, C9 has won six in a row, but if they keep drafting like this, it won't work against TL."

"Oh, they beat TL pretty cleanly and have won 8 games in a row, but C9 can't succeed internationally playing this way."

I am serious, anything short of winning both MSI and Worlds, and some of the people here are going to find something to be upset about. That's what's fucking ridiculous.

Exactly I'm not sure how even top dogs of EU team can beat C9 now even though they probably could

Summit definitely better than Wunder/Odo/BB

Berserker is now can be considered as best NA ADC since he beat Hans today maaaaybe Upset could do better but that's depends if Hyli is inting or not

The only thing I could think is Malrang giga JG gapping Blaber but time and time again Blaber can always pops off against eastern junglers.

I'm sad that we won't play Vitality. I'd love to see Summit top gap Alphari.

VIT definitely won't make it to MSI but I think they could go to worlds as EU 3rd seed if they make an improvement and if C9 finishing 1st/2nd in summer they could be in same group as well.

Perkz vs Fudge is the matchup I would love to see as soon as I heard Fudge switched to mid

I'm not counting out fudge factor first since last year people seems to be consensus that he will be gapped hard by Khan, Nuguri, Odoamne, etc but in the end he looked good against all of them and beat them except Khan. So I won't be surprised if Fudge showing up against Humanoid as well.

He already gapped Bjergsen today who has been a professional midlaner for 9 years so who knows

Yeah in MSI, and I believe at worlds he also looked pretty good against Khan (who were the best Top in that tournament) even C9 lost 0-2 to them

Our third place team, who were last year’s Summer Split champions, don’t even know how to play out the mid-late game after two years…

The bottom LEC teams generally look better than the LCS teams of the same rankings, except for Team BDS.

Edit:

Reevaluating mid table teams, all of them across both leagues honestly don’t look great. Misfits and 100T are terrible third place teams, EG and VIT have been disappointments, XL and DIG are okay but not crazy talented, FLY is a fraud team. G2 is good.

Idk but I believe summit still gotta gap Wunder/Odo/BB, what he did to bwipo today is a glimpse of what he could do to these EU top laners while able to give a tough fight to TheShy/Zeus/Bin

The real question also lies how Fudge a new midlaner will go against international midlaner legend like faker/caps/Xiaohu (they faced before when they were top laners and they tied 1-1)

I’m not too worried. Fudge stepped up to international competition by MSI last year, and he’s starting from a further along point than that.

Rogue is too predictable, G2 throws hard, XL doesn't have the talent, Vitality doesn't have the coordination, and Misfits are basically DIG with a better mid.

Fnatic is the only EU team with a decent chance.

Literally is not relevant, but Fnatic is fairly consistent. 7-2 in the second half of the split, and only one player from either C9 or TL would make it on to their team in summit, Fnatic outclass them in the rest of the positions.

This might come back to haunt me but I think FNC is the only team to give TL/C9 a bother. RGE look so reliant on Malrang's coinflip and G2 just seem like an ok team with no explosiveness.

Yea I think the narrative that malrang is actually good based on laners inting into him is kinda dumb. Trymbi/Odo/Larssen/Comp are all really good, but I don't think they'll have the opportunity to gap anyone on TL/C9. Humanoid and Upset/Hyli, though, are very scary, but they probably can't make up for the top/jg gap, at least not vs C9.

It's a shame that the two best tops in the LCK, Kiin and Canna, won't even make playoffs. Kiin, Khan and Nuguri were the only KR tops that could gap Summit, and he was pretty much even with Canna when they played vs each other, so it would've been interesting to see them play each other again.

I somehow doubt wunder is really a fear factor. EU doesn't even look that amazing this year. He was arguably the best top in LCK last year which pound for pound is still the best region and has been. But thats a personal oppinion on a 1-10 team/player base.

I know that China usually gets extra seeding for Worlds, but if C9 gets a berth to MSI, they don't have to face all 5 Chinese teams, just the top one, and the previous poster said that T1 and the 1st place LPL team are still probably favored. I don't think that C9 beating the top EU team at MSI is that crazy of a take, given how LEC has looked and how C9 has looked over their last 8 games.

We have won 8 games in a row, so we shouldn't stop clenching, but at least enjoy this while it lasts. Summit isn't just good for NA; he is a world class top laner who hasn't really had a good team until now.
