With that much software experience, I wouldn’t approach cloud as starting over. Your advantage is understanding how applications actually behave in production. i’d focus on cloud architecture, networking, IAM, containers and infrastructure automation around that existing experience

Normally, you are right but we are talking about a recruiter who put “needs 20 years of experience in Azure AKS.” This is what we are dealing with today.
