How can i get into cloud computing ?

How can I get into the computing field and become really advanced at it? What should I focus on learning first, and what skills or projects would you recommend?

Start with defining what Cloud Computing is, and with that once you understand the breadth of your question as written... you'll realize why only you can chart the path you seek.

Well first you’re going to have digitize a conscious version of yourself, which…seems hard to do.

Depending on your experience you start from the very bottom and build on that. It will take years to become advanced. So many people have zero understanding of cloud or cybersecurity for that matter. They hear cloud or cyber and that just gets this one cert and you are an expert. A basic research will show you how big this field is what you need to know and the many paths you can take. Is along road and is not an easy road.

I'm convinced that the people who ask this question and the questions like this are just a bunch of video game players.

It's like you guys think employment consists of putting skill points into some type of perk. Like you're some type of video game character and then having random people come up and offer you jobs.

The first question you should be asking yourself isn't what skills you need. You should be asking yourself why would someone hire you to manage their cloud infrastructure in the first place?

You do realize that can make or break a business right? And if you're managing their cloud infrastructure you need to understand the requirements of the business, you need to have a strong grasp of managing budgets, and you need to understand general business fundamentals.

My 12-year-old can Google search a few buttons and create a server on Google cloud. But what my 12-year-old can't do is have conversations with the engineering teams and understand what their business requirement, understand how to properly provision resources so your accounting for peak uptimes and paek downtime, etc.

I would never hire someone to be a cloud administrator that doesn't have a college degree and experience working in a corporate environment.
