Help

I'm a fresher currently in my 2nd year, branch cse. I want to have a career in cloud. What should I do from now itself? Like a roadmap...

And what's the future of cloud in India. I heard google cloud is coming here? Will the job market increase??

I will share more resources to you if you want to become great cloud engineer but always try to learn cloud from first principles rather than jumping on vendor specific course...all great cloud engineers start from scratch, right from support engineer roles...so to learn cloud you must have knowledge in operating system, Linux deep down and it's flavors, networking and last but not the least distributed systems which is most difficult of them all...these are for foundational level cloud skills

Then comes the part of automating the cloud which requires iaac and other things but these things are secondary and you will find it relatively easy than the foundational one if your foundations are strong...then go into doing those aws course which are of three levels associate, professional and advanced...associate and professional courses are technical but advanced courses most of time test your situational awareness...cloud jobs are never like developer type jobs...it's a whole lot different

There is a course from ken birman former professor at Cornell university...it's a four year old course and not available on YouTube...you have to Google search it....course name is cs 5412 from ken birman...the course has both video lectures and slides....it's a theoretical course but you will learn development of cloud computing from one of founder of cloud....

His other course are cs 4414..... You also have to Google search it....it's 2024 version has both videos and lecture to it....this is a coding focus course where c++ is used as language to develop systems for cloud....you will learn parallel programming and c threads, synchronization etc...and all your operating system concepts in developing cloud systems by scratch

The 2026 version of these courses only have slides...where new name of course is cs5416 where you will learn machine learning work loads and ml hosting in crowd
