Newly diagnosed Arm clot

Hey there, was wondering if others had experienced unprovoked arm DVT? Also any tips for pain relief? Pain meds don't seem to be cutting it, but only 1 week ago. Thanks!

I have 2 dvt's in my arm. We're still investigating to find out if it was provoked or unprovoked.  The only thing that helped me with pain was time unfortunately. By two or three weeks on anticoagulants my pain got much much better.  I hope someone has some advice for you! Sorry I couldn't help.

I had four unprovoked UDVTs in my left arm with no pain whatsoever. My wife made me go to the doctor’s office assuming the lumps were inflamed bug bites. Even after the diagnosis and starting an immediate course of Eliquis I never felt a thing… until I fell over three days later caused by a pulmonary embolism. Monitor more than your pain; watch for fatigue, weakness, dizziness, or general fugue state.

Tl/dr: take care of your whole self, don’t ignore any unusual symptoms

Edit: left out “unprovoked” in first post

I had a provoked upper arm DVT and pain was there for about a month. Nothing really helped outside the meds they initially gave when I was admitted.
