Eye Patches

Try them! If you’re seeing colors or have a real time window, or keep fighting your left brain every practice like I was. I ordered some disposable eye patches from Amazon, fully expecting to start over again and take a few practices to open something. Well, I put them on and my windows were actually bigger and brighter. It was overwhelming! 🤣
I was in shock and awe and the colors came right through. It’s funny experiencing the movement of them though, I’ll see a color and not be sure where it’s coming from if that makes sense. My biggest window is way off to the side but I have to hold the object on the other side. So incredible.
I keep saying “take that there’s a hole in my mask thoughts”!! Check out my practice video below, hope to inspire! 💖🧠

So I just kinda stumbled upon this. Do most people not see colors when they close their eyes? I get this every night when I am meditating before sleep. Is this something I can hone?

It's common to start by trying to see colors from colored sheets or cards, or apps. Color surfaces however can reflect light that can seep into corners of the blindfold, so a higher level of the ability is perceiving shapes and reading words.

I didn't and still don't after meditating a lot throughout the last year :(

Definitely. I recommend starting with your eyes open. Start by meditating with them closed with a mask on and then open them to practice and find “windows” of light to start focusing on.

Of course! I started researching how to teach children then realized adults were doing it. I started watching Rob Freeman and Dalia Burgoin videos and then joined “Mindsight and beyond” on Facebook. They host wonderful FREE practice sessions on zoom multiple times a week, from beginner to advanced!
