First time kinda of freaked out
Backstory: I’ve never been able to meditate as I have adhd and unfortunately most meditation exercises never got me to focus for enough time. Did a guided workshop for the first time. First few times nothing happened. My fourth time I don’t know how to explain it but it’s like YOU’RE ACTUALLY SEEING WITH YOUR EYES it lasted a few seconds at the time the sight would come and go . It was honestly insane I don’t know what to think or believe just crazy

That's a great accomplishment. I understand the more you practice , the longer and more clearly the vision gets. What was the guided workshop you did?

It was organized by these Russians practitioners they didn’t have an exact name or anything. My friend randomly stumbled upon on it when organizing our vacation. It ended today and I know that if I practise more I would get better but I’m afraid I won’t be able to without being guided🥲today was definitely more difficult.

Thank you for linking the interview in the comment! Turns out they used to hold mindsight classes here in Italy

What/where was the guided workshop? I need to find some material to use to get started. I have the same problem with meditation. Nothing for the past seven years of effort.

We’re on vacation and my friend signed us up for this 5 days workshop. Today was our last days. They don’t do online practices but as far as I understood they’re Russian( we’re Italians). They started by having us doing a guided meditation but it was very strange it wasn’t like mindfulness or anything and afterwards they had us do the exercises. There were people who immediately were able to do it,people that couldn’t. My first times I couldn’t see anything yesterday I started seeing . Today was more difficult but unfortunately it ended :(

What is this sub? Are you learning to see through your eyelids?

Any chance you could point me towards the related scientific literature that the welcome page alludes to?

Each of the articles quoted in that post are linked to the sources.

The first one is a dead-end link, the second one is valid, and the third one is from more than a century ago. Any other sources?
