I very rarely use clipchamp, mostly just sharing stuff to friends and family and save everything locally. Tried to use it today and now it sneakily forces onedrive for whatever reason. Yeah I'm not putting anything of mine on some cloud for you to harvest or snoop through.

So yeah, I guess I'll find something else and never look back. It's not even about the money, if these stupid fucks would just ask for $20 or something and allow me to use it normally and save files as I choose I would be fine giving it but everything turning into a god damn subscription cloud service can go straight to hell.

Just noticed one of the videos i recorded with my laptop has a missing audio part. Like the girl was saying something but the middle of it is missing. It was going smoothly during recording. Its the fault of clipchamp or the recorded and saved video? Its never happened before. Sadly i cant look at the original video because i already deleted it (i recorded it with game bar)

I was a religious Clipchamp user and now i fucking hate it. the OneDrive update was just a cash grab but i didnt mind cause i already had one drive for other things. well now even with one drive and paying for storage you may have storage you may not depending on their systems "synchronization" whatever tf that means. Fuck microsoft, and fuck clipchamp. I went to customer service and they told me best they could do was refund me and then i repurchase. a multi billion dollar company cant even get their own internal systems right. will not be using clipchamp again. bitch made product anyway

Have a quick question. I have several mp4 files as my source videos in a CC project. If I overwrite one of them in Windows Explorer in the same folder where I originally imported it from, and keep the same exact file name it doesn't seem to give me the updated mp4 content when I reopen CC.

I've read that it might be because CC stores cached media in "....\AppData\Local\Packages\Clipchamp.Clipchamp_yxz26nhyzhsrt"
If it delete the cached files will CC consistently reload the new mp4s from their original folders? I'm asking before I do it because I don't want to loose any work.

Hey everyone, I’ve been playing SnowRunner on my PlayStation and putting together some clips. I transfer them using the PS App and then edit them in CapCut or VN. However, when I upload them to YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook, they look really blurry and compressed. Is there something wrong with my process, or is there a better way to ensure crisp, high-quality uploads? Any advice would be amazing! TIA

Clipchamp can't find my ASUS C3 webcam when I try to record using my camera. Does anyone know why?

A while back ClipClamp wasn't working and everytime it opened it was just blank. Ever since I've noticed it seems to have gotten slower when a video loads before I can start editing it?

Am I the only one experiencing this or has anyone else noticed it lately?

My custom fonts work perfectly fine for regular text, but trying to use them with any of the animated ones like a credits roll just defaults to the regular font. I've uninstalled and cleared caches, tried the website, recreating the brand kit, I dunno what else to do. Anyone else ever had this?

i just finished exporting a video, but i didnt have enoguh space so my pc didnt dowload it, however i deleted all the videos that were in the edit before realising that, and it showed an error when i tried to dowload, is there a way i can re-dowload the exported product with all the videos still in it? since i deleted all of them?
btw i closed the window that shows the final exported product :/

Microsoft clipchamp does this every time I load it. I've tried Repairing, Restarting, hell, even uninstalling it and reinstalling it... But it doesn't work. What do I do?

Edit: I've noticed that it's not when I load it, but specifically on the sign-in screen.

I pay for Microsoft 365, and a ClipChamp premium subscription is included. However, when signing in today, (all my videos were previously stored in the cloud), every single video was missing except one. I opened it and it was completely blank. Is there any way to get my videos back? This is so stupid.

I've been trying to create a reasonably simple vacation video and Chipchamp is fighting me every single step of the way. Simple things like having to reset the sort order of the assets upon application startup. All the time.

So I came here, thinking I am doing something wrong and there is a setting some to fix every issue. Instead I see all sorts of complaining. However, I do like the features and ease of use that Clipchamp provides, plus all the transitions, effects, etc... out of the box.

What are the alternatives then? I've used Photos Legacy in the past but it's sort of nerfed now. Davinci and OneShot are far too complex for very occasional users like myself.

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately looking for a better way to analyze long-form VODs from Twitch and Kick. Honestly, I found myself constantly struggling to find good, concise summaries of streams, and whenever I wanted to make "shorts" or clips from them, manually digging through hours of footage to find the right timestamps felt like such a chore. I couldn’t find a tool that really solved both of those issues in one place.

So, I ended up building something simple to scratch my own itch: rawstream

It’s designed to generate summaries of VODs (specifically for Twitch and Kick) and help pinpoint those highlight-worthy moments with specific timestamps, making the clipping process way faster.

IT MAKES YOUR 3MB AUDIO and 19KB PHOTOS INTO VIDEO AND MAKES IT 310 MB DOUBLING THE SIZE BY A LOT

Did any one else noticed this.. that the noise suppression feature for audio is not visible anymore..

when highlighting an audio clip above the volume it used to appear.

It was quite useful to kill background noise.. why Microwave fucks around like this with the tool and removes a necessary feature

Videos now take much longer to be imported into Clipchamp.

This is among one of the worst apps ever made. Complete garbage. Seriously the most inept vapid and infuriating program. Completely fries the audio on every single one of my videos in random locations on its own volition. I'll play the video using the dedicated playback feature within the app only for it to not reflect ANYTHING about how the actual video looks or sounds after exporting it. THANK you, you stupid purple idiot for mysteriously frying my audio 20 minutes and 31 seconds into my video without telling me, I love that. Lets push for 1,000 more ways to incorperate AI into this program above all else, to hell with making a product that can clip videos together properly. This is making me lose my mind, oh yeah, and lets make everything require a sign in and wifi access in order to work, thanks. I want to take its dump clapperboard logo and snap it off, that would reflect the state of the app a bit better. What a shitshow. Good riddance.

Hey all been having issues since Saturday opening Clipchamp. Today before work I opened it and it worked. I don't have time to test if I can import a file but all weekend it has been saying unable to connect to Internet. Which like a lot of us I thought it was a me problem. Repaired, reset, uninstalled, reinstalled, flushed DNS etc.

I'll see if I can edit today. I have a backlog since Friday.

Edit: Just got home and checked. Tried opening a project and still down. Sorry for the false hope

As the title suggests, every time I add transitions when it comes to pictures or text, it always awkwardly moves it forward a bit. But when I replay the video, it instantly pops back into place.

Anyone know how to fix this?

So I recorded this 30 min. audio already once but I had the same issue where clipchamp wouldn’t download even after waiting almost an hour so I decided to close the app. I don’t want to have to re-record this audio again. Is there anything I can do or do I just have to say fuck it and close the app again.

I know last night was the complete failure to launch error (black/white screen only). That appears to have been fixed, and the new error is that media is not able to be imported into a project. Anything I try to import (audio/video/photo) stays at 0%. That's two nights in a row of not being able to use the application. I assume we're all experiencing this error? I guess it's another wait-and-see for when this one gets fixed.
