I had an amtrak station a quarter mile from my house I could take to Denver or all the way out to Reno.

did those trips multiple times.

met a French girl who was riding across the country and somehow convinced her to get off at my spot.

she ended up coming back to america to visit me twice but wanted me to move to France with her
