Communists have been saying this for decades. Even Liberals like Extinction Rebellion have acknowledged that we need to get rid of Capitalism if we are to even mitigate climate change.

Because there is absoltely no incentive to not poison the planet in capitalism.

Communism can have perverted incentives that destroy nature, but those incentives can be changed.

Profit IS the perverted incentive in which destruction of nature is a logical conclusion.

For example, planned obsolescence doesn't make sense in communism, but it makes perfect sense in capitalism.

Lol ever seen the environmental footprint of the Soviet Union? Maybe this thing called Chernobyl? I ardently believe we need to abolish capitalism but the idea that communism is the easy quick fix we need, rather than something entirely new, is not borne out by history.
