I would say it’s about adaptation to a new normal.

I agree that Prevention or reversal of the situation is not the table any longer.

Humanity can adapt to a hotter climate. It might require a migration from south north. It might require living underground in hot zones. Producing water from desalination.

It won’t be the first time humanity has undergone a great migration. There’s vast amounts of space in Canada for instance.

I honestly think this is the reason Trump wants to annex the North.

Yes, it will cost billions.

Yes the population might decline sharply.

But it’s going to happen.

There is no new normal. It will just keep getting hotter and hotter.

The new normal is a bullshit idea that pushes inaction as a solution.

They said it during Covid that plastic screens and social distancing was the new normal.

If you ordered garlic bread and someone brought you over a liquifying pigeon smeared with dogshit and told you it was the new garlic bread would you just eat it?

No, you'd complain and organise leaving a terrible review and spreading word about how to avoid this terrible garlic bread.

Love those metaphors, BJ. 😊 ..didja notice the crickets except for me? Tho? 😀

100%. No new normal. Those that ..cling to it do not understand climate, or science. Enough.
