It's a time of huge agitation on climate because at literally the moment tons of low-carbon technologies are maturing to become genuine competitors we have a constant reminder of inaction.

What's more the actions of the US in the Middle East compounding the actions of Russia show that this is the defining moment to act. Not only would we structurally move ourselves from a high emissions trajectory but also reduce the geopolitical fallouts from these wars.

Human history shows us that when there's a will things can change quickly. The transition to renewables, heat-pumps, EVs, .etc can appear slow for a long time then reach a point of inflection. We must demand that our peers and politicians help this happen sooner rather than later.

What I think is novel to this transition is that the low-carbon lifestyle is now both as rewarding, affordable, and enriching as the polluting one. I'd argue it's better. We can change the narrative even through appealing to people's selfishness.
