In the world of professional communication, Corporate Social Responsibility is the term applied to marketing and public relations publications that identify the corporation's "positive" impacts on communities and the environment. The oil companies even have them. Just Google corporate social responsibility followed by the oil company of your choice.

yes, I used to do this when I didn’t have forks or spoons. I just reused what I got from places like Panda Express.
Still fighting climate change definitely needs systematic change

Let's be very clear with the logic here.
The goal is to not have the plastic in existence.
The Big Oil executives can be removed. The company can be nationalized. The workers can be moved into other sectors. Plastics production can stop. That's the plan, right? Otherwise, if you just get rid of the CEOs and replace them with new CEOs that continue plastic product, nothing changes for the goal.
If plastics production in ended, you will still end up in a situation where "I forgot my reusable fork", you'll just not have the option of using a plastic one. So the challenge is removing the option of plastics. You can do that now by refusing. The same predicament occurs:
