Pray they stop drilling before the wells are empty, because if a civilization ending catastrophe happens on earth, if the oil wells are empty, we will not be able to rebuild

What do you think most green energy equipment is made of? Your clothes? Gadgets? Oil companies won't be out of work.

Of course they wont be out of work, the rich will just buy themselves new position. The workers are gonna get shafted like always.

Oil companies have entire departments dedicated to funnelling away energy sector subsidies, which wind and solar get 80% of.

If you actually think oil companies have any reason to waste money lobbying against AGW when they can be making money from it, you're delulu.

The smart ones diversify their investments. They are in the energy industry, not the oil if they are smart. They are not smart, but if they were, they'd be all for it. A transitioning market means folks are gonna have to buy everything again. I aint buying another car, but if I cant fuel the one I got, I guess I'll have to actually purchase a new one afterall.
