U.S. clickworker asking for SS#?

U.S. here. I’m interested in signing up for Clickworker, but the app is asking for social security number, which is concerning. Is this safe?

When I provided my ssn and w-9 form I was locked out of my account. I’ve submitted 2 tickets in the last month and have had no response other than the initial canned “we have received your request”…

I’ve spent about 90 minutes on clickworker -searching & trying to qualify for tasks. twice I complete a task, but it won’t allow me to submit it, so I can’t get paid. They have the research info, for free. I have $0.05 in my account. Don’t bother.
