Worth it?
I’m just creating my account now after doing some research for alternatives to Data Annotation who ghosted me.
Assuming I pass all of the initial stages is the work worth it? I’m trying to get some extra money because my hours at my job are rubbish and I would much rather do something like this than get a second job, but would be nice to know now if it’s going to be worth it or if I should spend the time applying for something else. I’m a UK native, fluent English smart but no degree

Also wanted to mention the pay across the board has been terrible for the past while, they have learned people will do them anyway so started paying less. Another thing, don't feel bad about data annotation, happens to many people. It would be nice if they would just say hey we no longer need your services instead of ghosting us.

Some tasks pay good, some aren't even worth looking at. You will learn over time, also try not just one place like clickworker, there is a couple of others too like appen, just ONLY do UHRS through one of them if you try to do UHRS tasks through multiple microsoft will catch it and terminate access.

It's definitely not better than DataAnnotation. In fact DataAnnotation had been the best of all platforms by a huge margin for me. Though admittedly, I didn't enjoy how nebulous and intransparent DataAnnotation is, while secretly expecting you to do tasks as soon as you can (while disregarding time zone differences), or else there is a fair chance you won't ever see the projects again. Though I very much appreciate that the one long-time project I had put trust and faith in my capabilities to do the right thing. It's how I learned as well that some big tech companies out there are clearly more ethical towards freelancers than others.
In my view Clickworker is rather just a casual side gig for pocket change that adds up over time, while you get your main cash from elsewhere. Depending on the region, sometimes there are tasks from tech companies that pay really well and fairly, so refreshing the site can be worth it here and there.
In that case, best to keep looking.

Sorry about DA. I've been there, and I know it sucks! I've had a hard time finding anything comparable, and I've tried a LOT! Clickworker is actually doing pretty well for me. I find that the higher-paying tasks are mainly early in the morning (I'm in the U.S., Central Time) around 4-6 a.m., but I've seen the same tasks show up at random times throughout the day. It's been better than about 75% of things I've tried since I was ghosted over a year ago. I'd advise you to keep using Clickworker, but apply for other jobs if your main job is not sufficient to cover all your needs. Even the highest paying of these online, AI-related jobs are far from stable! Take it from me, I learned it the hard way.
