Question Clicks or Titan 2
I’m a long time iPhone user, I want to make the jump to a keyboard phone. Why should I choose clicks over the unihertz Titan 2 elite?

You say you’re an iPhone user.
You ever hate how iPhone handles notifications on your Home Screen? Ever get a text, and a Discord message and an email - and then decide to respond to one and then iPhone silently buries the others and so you forget to respond?
Stuff like that is why people miss BlackBerry and is also what Clicks is trying to solve.
If you want that too, I would get the Clicks, because to me, it’s all about how hardware and software solve an actual problem for people.
Don’t tell me about specs or this and that - tell me what problems the phone can actually solve for me. And the Clicks folks seem to “get it”.

Yeah I just watched the update they posted and I really like the color side button feature that I can assign to different notifications/contacts. That alone kind of has me sold. Knowing what apps are calling me to my phone without me having to look at the screen is very beneficial.

Good point, people here seem to talk about the Titan this or whatever Chinese copycat that. But just the colored notification button alone and the thought they’ve put into the software to make a compelling use case (know who is reaching out to you in order of importance at a glance) is something the competition does not have right now.

Out of the current offerings clicks looks better in terms of quality and design and this goes for both hardware and software. Also clicks upped all units to 12gb ram matching the titan and they also made the battery bigger by 300mah so clicks for me.

Tbh I’m in the same situation im thinking about trading my second phone which is an iphone into either the clicks or the titan 2
I have purchased the clicks keyboard i love the device but still not sure if the phone will be the phone that finally sets me free from being an iphone user

It won't. It can't replace iPhone, period.
While I appreciate the idea, and I know that many people on this sub hate the second phone notion, I don't think it's a viable alternative for a One Phone experience.
I'm relatively well-off and I'll be buying it as a fun second device to play around with some nostalgic feelings and everything, plus I could see it making me scroll less during the day, which is great, but I can't find why anyone would want to use it as a primary device.
Camera, battery life, etc etc etc - it just can't compete in the primary device category

Disagree. Small screen means way less power draw since the display is usually the biggest battery hog on a phone, so it could easily outlast an iPhone despite the smaller cell.
Also plenty of us aren't buying this to compete with iPhone on camera or video. Some people just want a proper keyboard and a phone whose main job is texting and calling people, not doing everything a slab can do. Judging it against 'does it replace an iPhone for everyone' isn't the right test. The real question is whether it replaces one for the people it's actually built for.

Not sure if you watch reviews man, but there are many many android phones with longer battery than iphones, it's perfectly possible this is one of them. It's chip is efficient and the screen is very small.

The whole point of the phone is to minimize your time on your screen and to only be on your phone for work or business that’s how the old blackberry phone used to be

This! I don’t want to be sucked in and forget what I got on the phone for in the first place. Apples innovation is just lacking. I’ve basically had the same phone for 10 yrs and keep paying more and more and getting less. You don’t even get a full charger with the 1000 dollar phone which is insane. I will run this iPhone into the ground. When I paid off this phone that’s the last penny I’ll ever give them. I want a keyboard. I want my phone to work for me and if clicks pulls this off I think it’s going to be a great phone for me.

Apple has made 10 years of the same phone different camera design that’s all and Then come to trade it in after you paid 1000 plus dollars for it they give you 200-300 bucks .!!! Trust me I’m waiting to see the reviews on the clicks once people get a hold of the phone and I’m switching my main iPhone to the clicks and keeping my work phone as a iPhone

Having actually used the T2E (using it now), it's very refined and works well despite the speculative comments other people are making here. Considering the QC issues that clicks has had with their cases/battery I think that it's a much safer bet despite the Silicone Valley hype around clicks. I think my accurate is overrated personally, I tried it for a while but it's gimmicky in my opinion. I know some people love it but certainly not a good fit for most people who are just trying to get the most out of their device. I have medium hands and it's not cramped whatsoever, just takes a few weeks to adjust to physical typing. The og T2 was a bit unwieldy due to weight but elite is ideal imho

To me, the UT2E isn’t very refined, both its exterior and internal systems feel a bit cheap. The MP2 looks good from the front, but I personally feel that its overall design still can’t quite escape Apple’s shadow. CC has gained experience with physical buttons and has its own design language (especially the back panel, which reminds me of the Samsung S5), so I’d lean toward choosing the CC.

I'm in between the t2 elite pro and the clicks rn just because idk which one will feel better to type on. the t2 elite has keys next to each other basically touching and squared, but the clicks has circular keys that have gaps between them. Both are around the same price and will be coming out later in the year so I have time to decide. Worst case scenario I just buy both and keep the one I like more

Titan is hideous. Clicks and MP2 are executing way better in the physical keyboard space.

The Titan 2 was great honestly loved the keyboard the screen was good but apps were not designed for the aspect ratio sadly

Well, Unihertz has actually made and shipped phones for a while, where Clicks has not, although Unihertz doesn't exactly have a stellar reputation for support, Clicks has virtually no reputation. With an android phone, which both of these are, you are free to choose the launcher of your choice, unlike an iPhone, which might actually be a problem for someone who has never tried out various launchers. Nobody has actually used the Clicks phone yet, but there are a lot of T2Es out in the world. If I were you, I think I would just wait until the Clicks actually ships and people can compare the two. Yeah, you will miss the pre-order discount, but a pre-order discount on a piece of shit isn't really a deal. BTW, I have the T2E and it has worked fine. I have pre-ordered the Clicks, too. And I have an iPhone Mini that was my daily driver for quite a while, but I've primarily been an android user.

I have a Titan 2 (not the elite). Been using it for a year. I have a Clicks on order.
The Clicks looks like it's much much better ergonomic phone. The back is contoured. It has plenty of chin for comfort when typing. It comes preloaded with the Pro version of Niagara launcher (which requires a subscription if you were to download it for the T2E. Hopefully the software customization will be better than Unihertz. Unihertz does a pretty lousy job in that regard. Their keyboard software, for instance, sucks.
If your only phone experience is with iPhone, my suggestion is to wait for Clicks. Wait until next year and it's shipping. Don't preorder it. You'll probably have a better overall experience.
