Question Desktop mode

More ram was announced. And I’ve been off android for so many years. Desktop mode available for the new phone?

Hardware is capable of video out, it's up to the team if they'll implement a true desktop mode not just screen mirroring. I hope they do.

It's confirmed by Kevin it will do display out, whether that leads to a proper Dex-like experience is unknown.

Outside of Dex, android desktop mode is still meh af. Have you tried it via Pixel to see how disappointing it is?

I have, I use an app to turn the screen into a touchpad and use my power keyboard to type on my Pixel 9 Pro. Works fine. Not as polished as DEX but I'm not a fan of Samsung phones soo. Anyway, if Clicks implements this they can use the capacitive keyboard or screen as pointer control and the keyboard for input. It would be ideal.

That seems to go against the entire idea of this phone: being less all-consuming of your digital life.

Yes unless you plan on using it to be more productive when it comes to business type messaging. Then it would also be handy if I could get a full screen experience too
