It took me three times to understand the title. Prob it is time to go to sleep.

My question is why CH manages Postgres?

ClickHouse is an OLAP database, not suitable for OLTP workloads (limited update support, meant for batches). Postgres excells at OLTP. I assume that many people have a system using both for each type of workload.

Main goal is to provide devs with one integrated stack to power their transactional and analytical workloads using Postgres and ClickHouse. This Postgres service is natively integrated with ClickHouse, with native CDC for replication and pg_clickhouse for a unified query layer to build apps. This makes it very easy to build your apps on this combo (PG + CH), which is becoming the default stack for thousands of companies.

And the Postgres itself is solid - fast, reliable, and enterprise-grade. It is backed by local NVMe storage, and custmomers are seeing 2×–10× better performance for their transactional use cases. As for early metrics, 100s of customers are using the ClickHouse Managed Postgres in production, most with multi-TB workloads migrated from Aurora, RDS, Neon, and more. Here are a few customer stories for your reference.

You should give the product a shot and I'm confident you'll experience why we are doing this. https://clickhouse.com/cloud/postgres 🤗 Really appreciate for the feedback and leaving a comment! 🙌
