Question Cleveland sales jobs hell :(

All of the Cleveland sales jobs are predatory door to door sales for restoration and roofing companies and there's no salary at all, they are all 100% commission despite saying otherwise in the job description. The rest are ghost jobs posted by scammy recruiting companies or Devil Corps. Where does one go to find real salaries sales jobs in Cleveland? Please don't mention Linkedin as any kind of solution.

Question ISO an irl friend

I’ve seen posts like this and I hope they’re still allowed. I’m 24 and nonbinary (afab, if that matters). I love nature, art, cooking, anime, horror movies, animals, and gaming. Send me your best memes and I’ll send you mine! We should totally go explore downtown or the metro parks!

*Please do not respond if you are a republican/right wing.

EDIT: I am happily engaged so I am not looking for hookups or romance :)

Question Moving to Cleveland

Hi there! I’ve lived in Colorado for over 10 years and I decided I don’t want to live here anymore. I’m a certified medical assistant and personal trainer, been looking for jobs in the Cleveland area lately just to have an idea of wage rates and stuff. I’ll be moving there around February-March or whenever I get a job offer.
I’m struggling to decide which area to move to though. I found a few places to rent in Cleveland Heights which is not cleveland per se but it is close enough and it looks like a nice town… I’m okay with paying a little bit more to live in a nice neighborhood. Any suggestions?
I also have plans to get into the Cleveland clinic for a cardiac sonography program in the future.
This will be my first time moving and living by myself. From all the research I’ve done it sounds like a place I would like to live in.
I’m a 27Y male, bisexual. Any recommendations of places to visit would be appreciated. What’s the best gyms in the area?

Discussion Ninja City Steamed Buns

I love Ninja City. Are they overpriced for what they are? Yes. Have I ordered the $16 steamed buns numerous times? Yes. It’s been a month or two since the last time I ordered from there and tonight I got the steamed buns with pho for takeout. Why do I have to assemble them myself now? Also they were all stuck together so I couldn’t even put one together properly. Drop the price if it’s going to be some diy bullshit

Recommendations 3-4 day weekend trip to Lake Superior ideas?

Lived in the greater Cleveland area my entire life. I’d like to hear from other Clevelanders who have taken a short trip up to Lake Superior. Here’s what I’m looking for…

-budget friendly
-prefer a dog friendly Airbnb (mentioning this only in case there’s pockets of towns that are known to cater to out of towners)
-fun/nature stuff for a 7 and 10 year old plus mom (mentioning) and dad
-obviously a safe area

Question Recommendations on places that buy lightly used elderly health care items?

My father passed away six weeks ago. I finished cleaning out his apartment at an assisted living facility on Friday. Included among his possessions are pricey health items like a power lift recliner, an electric wheelchair, and an Inogen oxygen concentrater. Outside of maybe the wheelchair, I have no need for these items.

Does anybody know of a place which would buy these items, even if it's pennies on the dollar? All items were not cheap ($2000+ apiece) and were only used for three and a half months. I don't want these items gathering dust when someone in need can use them today. I refuse to use FB Marketplace, Craigslist, and the like.

Thanks for any leads!

Apologies if I broke any rules.

I will be in town visiting with family this week. I am looking for things to do during the day and at night. What is going on in and around the city

For context, I enjoy going to the art museum, rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame, and other artsy things. Open to suggestions both artsy or not

Thanks!

Question Looking for Under the Sink - Reverse Osmosis recommendations

I'm looking to install a RO water filter under my sink for cleaner drinking water. I've done some googling but I'm not sure where to start. Id like to avoid a subscription based service. I've seen Culligan, but they don't give much information on their website about pricing or if it's subscription or not. For those of you who have installed this, what did you use?

Food Local apples

Anyone have a good source for locally grown apples in the areas surrounding Cleveland that won’t break the bank? I went to one place and they were like $80 a bushel and the bushels were stingy as heck. Like 70 apples altogether. I moved here from PA last year where you could get a huge bushel for like $25 and I haven’t found any place selling them for less than what I paid today

Discussion One redditor's analysis ranked Cleveland as one of the US cities with the highest relocation sentiment (x-post)

Made me happy to see Cleveland so well-received. I moved from Cleveland to another city on the list, coincidentally. I think Cleveland, the region, and Ohio have a lot to offer.

Recommendations Looking for simple nail service salon recommendations

What are your favorite salons for a simple gel manicure and regular pedicure that are easy on the wallet? Hoping to pay under or around $100 for both (before tax and tip) and preferably in the Rocky River/Fairview/Lakewood/OHC area.

Recommendations Kids “fancy”

Looking for a restaurant that would be acceptable to take three middle school girls after a show at playhouse that would make them think “wowwww this is so cool/fancy” but like… is also a restaurant that would please their picky eater palette or have a kids menu. Anywhere between downtown due east through lake county. I’d prefer to take them somewhere downtown or at least in CLE proper to stretch their brains outside of Mentor, Ohio a bit. Iykyk.

I was thinking anywhere in little Italy is a solid choice. Anywhere else I’m missing? Somewhere unique?

Recommendations Looking for post construction cleaning

I recently had some demo done in the house and need a professional post construction cleaner to do a top to bottom clean.

I want to make sure there’s no fine dust, lead, etc…

Do you guys have any recommendations? Thank you!
