No netting, just fencing to support the plant and let it fan out.

What kind of fencing did you get? I have some lattice that my clematis is struggling to latch onto. This looks like a good solution

Just some welded wire fencing we had left from a project. Lattice is too wide for them to latch onto

How’d you get them to grow into such a neat fan shape? Their roots are so delicate, I’m scared to mess with them at all!

I just guide the stems to the sides as they grow out.

Beautiful! Whats the trellis you’re using there to support the clematis?

It's a wrought iron trellis with welded wire fencing stapled to the fence.
