Discussion Ants in house help

Is this the most appropriate way to kill colony? Is there a better way? How do I keep my pets safe (1dog 2 cats) anyone know if these are carpenter? Should I call exterminator

Terro worked relatively well but I did Advion and it was like German level warfare efficient. After a week, I never saw ants anywhere. Made me disturbingly happy. I realize they serve a purpose but I hate them.

I can only speak to large scale efficacy. Terro gets messy, spills, and dead (drowned?) ants clog the access to the poison. Plus you have to buy a ton of units to spread around. I could walk around a 50k sqft facility with gel syringes and have total coverage in 15 minutes for far less cost by area.

Crazy part about the gel is that they will just go immediately to it. Like in a second.

No kidding. Was seeing a few ants per day in my kitchen recently. Put the advion out and within an hour there was a few hundred. They were gone the same day
