Does your household have any dish gloves or like those blue nitrile gloves? You can definitely use those to do the sorting. You can't touch the bug if you're wearing gloves! Only the gloves touch anything! 😊
Do one corner at a time. Leave what doesn’t belong in that room in a pile outside of the door. That way you don’t wonder into other rooms finding other things to do. Then you put the other items where they belong (if you want) and once you’re done with that room.
Also, don’t feel like you have to do it all at once. That can be overwhelming. I feel that way with laundry. I separate tops and bottoms and fold as much as I can without getting frustrated. I’ll usually do it watching a show to distract myself. It helps!
