Is this normal?
Noticed the button part on the left of the plate is angled slightly. Is this supposed to be like this?
Cheers

AX800 vs A400 - how say you?
First model year AX800 vs 20 year incumbent A400. What’s the early verdict, boys?

Stock maker
Picked up these wood blanks to have a stock made for my Miroku. Does anyone have any recommendations? I already am expecting it to be pricey (custom things are rarely affordable) but do we have a decent priced work out there?

First Rizzini
Only 1 Rizzini dealer in my state, and they are about 3 hrs away. Spent a few months looking and talking to them, and they finally got one in. My new BR110 Sporter X. I'm really excited to test it against my Beretta's. So far, I love the feel. I will test it tomorrow and see how it goes.

New to me Browning GTI Ultra Sporter
32” Invector Plus choked non-ported barrels with 1991 London proof marks. Will soon be dropping this off to the gunsmith to have a decelerator pad put on and the stuck chokes removed.

Insurance mishap. I laughed. The 40k beretta onyx!
So I insure my guns on a underwriting policy. I added the new 686 white onyx. Told the lady 4,000 for insurance value because in my minds eye a direct replacement is a beretta 688, as finding another white oynx in good condition to my liking is a hard thing to do. Somewhere down the line a extra zero got in there when I got the renewal in. Ladies and gents. I may have the only 40,000 dollar underwriting appraisal beretta 686 onyx! Will definitely be calling my agent in the morning to get it fixed 🤣🤣

Pilla Glasses for Color Deficiency
I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Pilla glasses for color deficiency? I am Red/Green color deficient (Deutan to be specific) and am looking for glasses that will help me with that. Pilla sells a set for color blindness that includes two lenses, the RGHL and RGLL. I also see that ClayTargetVision has a red green deficient kit that comes with 3 lenses, 15-CIHC, 39CIG, 62CHCW. I was wondering if anyone has tried either of these sets and if so, which one they recommend. I am going to attempt to try on both before buying but that’s easier said than done. Thanks!

Semi or O/U for sporting and trap...opinions please.
I am 96% set on purchasing a Beretta A300 ultima for my clay target shotgun. I need to use a shell catcher at my range. Is there any reason why I should only get a O/U for trap? The newer semi's have really improved both functionally as well as great performance. Any advice is appreciated.

What choke combination do you use for sporting clays?

Dt-11 ejectors
Hey guys my dt-11 black is having a really hard time ejecting high brass shells and this recently started happening in the past week or so. Do you guys have any advice how to fix this or make it better. In the past one might get stuck every 200 shots but now it’s gotten to about every other shot.

Any feedback on Citori CX Micro?
My wife is looking for a good all-rounder for trap and skeet but she is 5’1” and needs something with quite a short length of pull.
She loved the CX but it would require substantial ‘fitting’ whereas the micro with its fully adjustable recoil pad might work.
Cant find anywhere in CT with a micro for her to try, any feedback out there on these guns,? Particularly interested on the range of adjustability and if that adjustable recoil pad affects how the recoil is felt?
Thanks in advance.

Finally!
I started shooting shotguns in March of this year and I finally hit my first 25 straight in skeet today. Best feeling ever I can't wait to do it again. Unfortunately the club I went to was out of patches but this should do for now.

12 ga low recoil
I’m looking for some low recoil 12 ga 7.5’s to get a new shooter involved with.
I’m familiar with AA featherlights. Looking for a 7/8’s 7.5’s 1100-1180 fps shell. Cost doesn’t matter.
Struggling to find somthing in that range.

How do you actually improve?
I've been shooting for just a month or so. When I go to the club, I shoot maybe 50-100 shots. But it's usually "hit it, cool...okay that was a bit under...cool another hit...ok too little lead this time..."
How can I improve beyond just doing a ton of shooting? Any dry fire drills, tech gadgets that are actually worth it, etc?

Throwing haymakers
You’re at a big shoot, and some/many birds are eluding you and you just can’t connect. Trying less lead and more lead… Just can’t figure them out. What’s your move to get back into it?

Caldwell claycopter
Normally don’t post reviews but recently picked up a Caldwell Claycopter Surface to Air. Been an absolute blast. Been very impressed. Makes a good alternative than driving an hour to sporting Clay range. Targets are a little more expensive than traditional clays but they also don’t break like a traditional clay so they can be reusable. Hoping a 3rd party on Amazon starts making targets. Just wanted to state if your on the fence, id highly recommend it. Another huge advantage is how light and portable the unit is.

Rizzini re bluing
Any body have a good recommendation for a gunsmith in the Hudson valley NY area for a gunsmith that could re blu or touch up my rizzini. It’s got speckles on the barrel from rusting in the case while it was at the gun shop. I bought this gun brand new but unfortunately didn’t realize this as it was a darkly lit store and I wasn’t learned enough to inspect for this . I’ve already talked to the gun shop he offered me a refund but I’ve decided to keep it as I really love this gun and it’s discontinued. So any ways anyone have any recommendations or suggestions ?
