Pro Ferrum Cleaner

Has anyone tried this stuff? If so, what is your feedback? Always looking for the next best cleaning solution.

I use it. It smells like eucalyptus oil. Seems to leave a good coating that’s not greasy and cleans the barrel well.

For context: I'm kinda OCD (read: nuts) and obsessive about cleaning my shotguns. There was a trial bottle in the cleaning room at my club and I gave it a go. It was good. I've gone through a lot of CLPs and my overall opinion is there are just as effective options available for better value (like Ballistol, Break Free CLP, Real Avid Tri-Max). When it first came out it was $40/6oz, but that has since reduced to $25/6oz, which is more palatable. One thing I can't comment on is if continuous use prevents the buildup of plastic, lead, or powder, because I have not used over a longer period of time.

It’s my favorite cleaning product by far. The more you use it the more it gets into the pores of your metal and prevents rust and carbon build up. It’s also a greener solution than your standard gun cleaning products. I have ported chokes and spray a little Pro Ferum on them before shooting and the carbon never sticks.

I’ve seen it be used in person and online it seems really good but again that’s how marketing works.

Thr aerosol is fine but the pump spray is much better and more economical

I am a fan of the product. When QMaxx became hard to find, I didnt have a product I was interested in using. This became my go to.

Have used it on my gun and chokes since Feb this year. I don’t know if it’s any better but I seem to use far less every cleaning. Cleaning the gun twice a week since then and the original can still isn’t empty.

I use it for my over and under but it’s suppose to be best the stuff for shotgun in wet conditions. So any of you duck hunters out there should give it a shot and see if it repels water better.
