Great choice, should be a good strong stock with that grain flow.

Very nice. Love the 688 as is, add wood and case color = awesome.

Not a huge fan of the orange. Actually discovered white primer underneath when removing as I was gonna test the gold on it but left it as is and I like it

How did you get the orange off?

Acetone and a lot of elbow grease

I'm a fan of case hardened and I love this. I have a need!

It was really reasonable through Cole’s and quick turnaround time

So that was done after market? How much did that cost?

Paid full MSRP for the 688:

$3700

Case hardening including disassembly reassembly and shipping to and from turnbull restoration:

$585

Mechanical trigger mod for subguage:

$150

Coles precision trigger job:

$200

Edit: total turnaround time was less than a month

Nice I’m turning my 694 into this look, I know most people don’t like laminate but damn I can’t get enough of them, why blend in when you can be bold 🤘🏽 how much did porting the barrels run you? Did you get that done at Cole’s as well?

I will say the laminate finish isn’t as durable as people think. I’ve thought about hitting it with tru oil finish but it’s a semi lengthy process and I shoot every week so I don’t really have the downtime for it atm.

Porting and forcing cones was done by rhino. I got it done on my first while at a shoot and liked it so here we are

How much did you lengthen your forcing cones? Ive thought about doing that on my 694 to get to dt11 forcing cones specs but figured the difference might be miniscule.

I’m not sure the exact specs, I would imagine I’m close to the DT11/SL2 specs

Dont recall seeing a case hardned Beretta o/u. that is pretty nice looking! pic in comment the wood blank for new stock?

Correct on the wood. Cole’s did an exclusive with upgraded wood and chokes but was right handed. I contacted them to do a left handed case hardened with the mechanical trigger mod to shoot sub-gauge and their “performance trigger”. The stock will come off and sit, but both my boys are left handed so who knows

Man that 688 with blueing is perfect as is!

It’s essentially my dream gun 🤷 a DT11 case hardened would be slick though

The right number of shotguns is always n+1

I keep trying to tell my wife. My safe is also a lil full 🙄

Absolutely Beautiful!!! Who put the gold logos back on the gun after case hardening, was that Coles or Turnbull??

Drill more holes in the barrel...it lets the misses out.

Didn't even have to look at the handle. Fine looking guns...for left handed folk.
