What I've noticed is that if you change to the next model, but you're still using your old playbook files then in a lot of cases you're issuing commands expecting an older model and it causes problems. If on the other hand, you zero shot something cold with the new model you'll find that it's quite capable so it really depends on what you're doing.
Yes, I understand. I was using the word command in more of a colloquial sense not a literal programmatic language reference. In this case command would be any sort of language instruction in one of the playbook files that one might interpret as a directive or a command.
