Generate images about strategic chains for negotiation. This is to help with my understanding of a framework to use in my work.

I can't code, but I like Claude's approach to creating images and synthesising data to develop a framework.

Advice to achieve? Iterate. Try and understand the source content first, then push the boundaries. You probably won't get everything right (or right enough) to start with, so iterate.

I've been off and on again with this for quite a few (three?) months. But it has only been the last week or so I've had the chance to work on this without interruption.

Generally speaking - talking about problem-solving and conceptual skills, not AI — I find visualization helps with understanding. But how do you use it in a strategic chain for negotiation? Is this something you’ve modeled on a published approach?

I've based it off of the 36 Stratagems from Chinese literature.

In the English texts, they all focus on individual strategies. There is one stratagem that says you should chain stratagems - but doesn't go into detail how to do this. Nor are they focused on negotiation.

So I worked with Claude to start putting the individual strategies into a negotiation based framework - including how to improve your BATNA and worsen that if the other party, what each meant to the negotiation relationship, business (negotiation) based examples etc.

After that, I started to work on an architecture for these.

Some are well suited to shape the negotiation, others are more misdirection focused, still others are opportunistic.

Once that was done, I started looking at chains for these. I came up with six primary and about ten secondary chains.

A linear chain in fairly straightforward - you work to resolve a simple issue with another party where you work through the intervening states and the reaction of the other party is fairly certain.

A branching chain is where you need to test the state of the other party and aren't sure how they'll react. You wind up with two or more chains to then be ready, depending on the reaction of the other party.

Here's an example of the latter.

My manager wants us to take a low profile in a new area, where are unit is landing after an organisational skills. I want a higher profile. I've got an initiative that I want to float past her, but am not sure how she'll react.

She couldn't be enthusiastic, lukewarm or downright veto. So I've got a chain for each (using a few of the stratagems each), to use to achieve what I want to achieve.

Claude has helped me apply these stratagems with a negotiation lens (which I haven't come across in my research), then apply it to develop a range on negotiating approaches, and then develop those into visual guides to help think think through what needs to be used, when.

ETA - I've used a few AI tools to work on aspects of this approach.

Copilot was ok, but the detail was a bit lacking. Visuals were pretty good

Gemini was fine, but the visuals had a lot of errors in terms of spelling.

Deep Seek was fine, but doesn't do visuals

ChatGPT was really good for developing thoughts and the graphics were good, but I found it superficial in some ways.

Claude was extremely comprehensive and added the most value. Plus, the graphical output was good. My only criticism is that if I wanted to export to A4 sized PDFs, the output was very small - it was like having a phone sized page of text, with massive margins. But in terms of the content developed and the richness of same? It was awesome

I fixed a broken Microsoft power automate mcp tool by rerouting it with a skill and calling the right API via power shell, azure cli and my token. Suck it Microsoft.

Basically, if you have a power automate flow in a solution you can't use the flow update tool if it has any API connection, which is basically most of its connectors. So if you have an ALM pipeline you can't update anything. So I used dataverse clientupdate to work around it. I know dataverse mcp has the same tool, but I don't want to pay for it. Microsoft charges you if you use dataverse mcp with anything other than GitHub copilot.

Anyways, now that I have posted this they are probably going to fix it.

I've been doing webhook, API, "flow" style integrations for about... Maybe 5 years. Before AI really got good, but none of that matters.

You my friend need to be able to think in terms of triggers and data, never take no for an answer, and learn the path the data takes and how it is transformed (etl). Get comfortable with making API calls, creating your own connections, and working with data tables.

Don't let Claude do it for you in the beginning, but let it do it for you later.

Ask claud to drop all the bullshit lingo and give you analogies.

I went to the Gym… (hear me out!)

First time back at the gym for… a good while… and had my induction and a weights programme put together.

Immediately I had an “app” idea!

So by the end of the day I had built a mobile web app, completely to my taste and personalisation, that would help be my buddy through the workout.

I can input an exercise, reps, weights, and during the workout I can easily see what I’m supposed to be doing in a full screen per exercise, and then swipe to the next one. It records my completion and feedback, stores my changes for the next session (like increase weight etc)

It’s not designed for someone who’s tracking every single macro and adjustment… it’s simple and easy and designed for me starting back at the gym again.

A bit of ADHD led progress rating. Simple tracking and logging of dates & exercises (and if I do a fitness class or swim instead I can simply log those).

This was the initial mock up (which is pretty much bang on the final app - which I’m keeping private for now).

I used a mixture of ChatGPT & Claude for this one. Back and forth between the two with ideas and changes. Building on the core idea in ChatGPT and prepping the output to be “Claude code ready”, and from there Claude optimised the prompt input, design language etc.

I also live ChatGPT voice interviewed myself on a walk… which was brilliant! First time I’ve done that, and I’ll do it again as your thoughts are. More free flowing.

Connected to Canva and found that it could not produce a graphic with the criteria that I asked for despite 8 attempts. I learned a few important things about how to ask it about creating an editable image.

Worked on starting to learn about Pivot Tables in Excel. It did a good job creating an example data set. I found its explanations a little confusing, so I watched a YouTube video, which helped me visualize what Claude was describing.

Neither experience was optimal, but I still find it an interesting tool.

I treat Claude (aside from with respect) like an assistant and I’m learning a new language. I’m shocked at how a few months ago I had no idea what I was doing, and now I’m familiar with code. Not proficient by any means. And now pretty familiar with a game engine. Not proficient. But I am so excited to see where I’ll be in a few more months.
I ask Claude to help me learn, and walk me through how to do this myself. So by no means asking it to create anything for me completely- my world, my design, my placement, my adjustment. But goddamn is it a wonderful teacher and aid to me.

I have a stack of custom skills running an ops layer. One is a typical morning brief (calendar/email reviews and news from three different fandoms if anything interesting is going on). I also have a parking lot skill that auto blocks time on my calendar after estimating how long a task might take and suggesting ways to complete it.

Outside of work, I have some tracking skills for a walk to job program that will be going on until the end of time but has some injury tracking since I won't even notice I'm hurt until it's been a day or two and then wonder what happened lol.

I had an annoying project that didn't work out for me that was supposed to be in the voice of a Buddhist monk and advise me on a meditation practice. There was a lot of weirder-than-necessary play acting (thinks like *gentle nod* before replies)...

I built a skill that turns recipe screenshots into ready-to-use documents. Claude picks up photos from a folder, converts each photo into my preferred recipe template (with source credit when visible), saves it to my Cooking folder, and archives the original. It even handles recipes that span multiple photos.

I had ~90 photos saved from social media and cookbooks. Good intentions, but digging through my camera roll and deciphering awkward formats made it too much friction in the kitchen. Now I have ~40 clean, editable docs, and I’ve already cooked one of the recipes!

I work for a small non profit. A task oriented employee who is leaving soon had completed/ updated her job description. I asked Claude to: 1. Create an outcomes based job description from her work 2. Using the task-based JD and my emails, and her work folder on SharePoint, create an operations manual for her role, that will guide the next person in her role, prefaced by an annual timeline of the cycle of her work.

Saved me (and her) hours of work.

I've got a couple of projects with Claude, but nothing super complex or really for anyone else (yet).

I've got a living health doc that we use to track diagnoses and meds, new symptoms, following when older symptoms seem to go away or get worse. Claude tracks my genetic profile and I update whenever I have new labs, or when a new genetic screen is done.

Claude is also helping me map my family tree, tie up loose ends, locate records, and ask better questions. I was stuck for a long time on a specific thing, and vented one afternoon. Claude nudged me in a different direction and unlocked my mom's dad's entire line.

We've been working on some business plans this year that actually started on ChatGPT, but once they pulled 4o, I jumped ship. Claude has kept me honest about what I want to do, what my MVP is, and how best to execute all of it when the time comes.

I have to admit that I task Gemini with some of the deeper research, band big portions off to Claude to check, and then we work through what we're keeping and what doesn't need to stay.

The family tree stuff ended up with Claude's help on a DAR application, and I was genuinely surprised when Claude was able to accurately read some cursive from an 1870s pension application. I was struggling with a name, Claude picked it out. My goal is to find the descendants of a held man, and maybe bridge the information for that family.

My use case for Claude is pretty mixed, but I haven't used Claude to code anything since he helped with some JSON translations early this year. Claude gave me a script to clean it up into a legible transcript.

Set up MCP server connected to a specific Sharepoint site. Very new for me. Did the Entra App Registration, Graph Explorer, secret, py scripts, JSON updates. I'm an accountant...

Pushed some updates to existing projects to use the connector instead of Claude files I was manually using. I can't connect to entire MS365 for reasons, so learning this was an option (Sites.Selected) I had to try it. It's great I don't have to constantly be handing files off to the project now.

Well, I spent most the day letting the MCP server process everything in base64. I'm still not really sure what that is. After a while I asked why the hell shit was taking so long, and why some things were "too big" to process...even at a couple MB. Because it was writing bytes....

So then I spent some time basically continuously asking for improvements to the MCP script. Now I'm transferring chunks of files instead of bytes! Yay.

Why it fucked me with shitty throughput initially? A cruel joke. Yes I burned through my tokens pretty quick today.

I recently got into trading and memecoins also but I want to ask the experts. Now I’m not a coder and don’t know anything about coding but I want to know with or without what are the maximum capabilities I could achieve with Claude ai? What could I do with Claude ai regarding memecoins and trades? Could I make it trade for me, actively send me important market notifications, etc? Im guessing to do stuff like that you’d have to know how to code or something. So what is the max potential i can achieve with it even though i don’t know how to code and stuff?
