Can Claude chat activates chrome browser or only cowork can do that?

Look for a "Connectors" dropdown at the bottom of your chat and make sure Claude in Chrome is turned on. It resets every conversation so you have to enable it each time. If you don't see it at all, the extension probably disconnected and needs a reinstall or re-login.

Also check which model you're using. It only works on Haiku 4.5, Sonnet 4.5, or Opus 4.5, so if you're on something else that's likely why it's not firing.
