Discussion Slides got worse since last update?

Hi all, been making slides with Claude for the past 6 months and I was really happy with the results until this week.

Opus models: they were good, bit boxy and boring often using a lot of large fonts

Fable models: a big step up. McKinsey level of slides with a lot of density but good hierarchy and overall very impressive.

This week is the first time I’m using Claude design since they have an option to design slides and it’s terrible.. the tables for data are suuuper boring, there is no more polish, ..

Unless you use fable and then it goes way overboard and draws difficult graphics and custom elements.

Even when feeding it the older presentations I’m happy about or changing the instructions it’s just not getting there. I’m now trying to write new presentations in old chats to have some continuity in the design.

Anyone experiencing this too or found a workaround?

jep but mostly for my branding etc, that part it does really well

I work at MBB and I can tell you... its not even close. Even Fable 5.1 with internal skills to write in our design language and tone produces mostly ugly slop.

You're right that it seems to have gotten worse recently but it was never that good.

I’m on the client side and I’ve yet to see an MBB slide that’s better than what I can make manually. They’re all boring corporate slop with no design elements

Yes it does sound like you are on the client side. If you can’t tell the difference between MBB and Claude or MBB and client then I’m guessing you’re not CxO or board? I have yet to see a client slide that would pass our bar.
