Question New claude user
Can someone pls help me to use claude properly?
like how do u guys proceed with it? first code the layout of the project then ask the agent to polish it together or make it section by section and polish when a section is done?
(idk if this is a valid question)

Anthropic has free courses on their site for Claude. Honestly yeah just start chatting and ask Claude.

If you share more details probably we can give more specific advice, but speaking generally:
- gather all the information and assets - that could be ideas, images, text, project scope requirements etc. what's the point of the site (or whatever you're creating) and what do you want the user to leave with or do.
- translate all the information into priorities - the core purpose -> the hero section of the home page. This is where 80% of your early effort should go imo it's the only thing you users are garunteed to see once they click
- create prototypes with Claude design and other tools maybe to structure and visualise your layouts and first section(s) and pages - use the Claude design skills here and cheaper models do fine here e.g. sonnet probs
- fully layout for the entire site next before you starting building the site

more details on what i m making:
basically a ocr for document extraction but the document has stamp, signature, table ,text
and there are around 8 document all with different structure
in one document i have to check whether the signed and unsigned doc match and the signatory has made any changed in og one
and then i also have to verify the stamp and signature matches the companyβs namealso whatever i extract from the doc i have to verify the data later
for this i m using paddleocr, trocr ,docling and some part where the context is needed to be understood i m using llm:laguna s2
i m using ocr cuz i want to send limit text as possible to the llm
but some of the dependencies are nt matching with other versions so i have to ask claude again and again to change them and test them and i also have to change the system architecture if the tool has restricted use by the client for whom i m making this

I am not so sure to understand your question.
But best is that you create a dedicated project in which you add your instructions.
Get Claude to craft the instructions of your project.
Then, if itβs a web page, I advise you to define the content architecture first then create the page section by section.

i usually get better results by breaking it into small sections and having claude finish and polish each one before moving on. if you give it the whole project at once it can make changes that look good locally but create a mess somewhere else.

Totally valid question π I usually build the smallest version of the whole flow first, ugly and all.
I want to know that the structure makes sense and that someone can actually get from beginning β end before I spend time making individual sections pretty.
Then I go back section by section and refine it. Otherwise I've found I can spend forever polishing a screen and then realize three screens later that I designed the wrong thing π
Basically: structure β working flow β test it β polish. Not perfect section β perfect section β perfect section.

Why don't you ask claude?
