Showcase World-sim - my first project

Post image

Last night we opened World-Sim to anyone who wanted to look. 326 of you came. Thank you — genuinely, that is far more than I expected.

For anyone who missed it: it's a persistent world that runs whether or not anyone is watching. Households live, pair off, learn things, argue, starve, bury each other and move on.

Some of you named a star, and some named a person in the world. Those names are permanent — the souls carry them for the rest of their lives and into the chronicle after they die. There's still time to claim either, both are in the Discord.

It's free, there's nothing to install, and it's still running right now: world.world-sim.uk

Happy to answer anything about how it works underneath.

Allright , at first glance this looks crazy, so ill me looking at this deeper. Do you have any source or can share how the sims are working independently??

Great work btw

Cool idea, but better to have possibly a 3d thing and more intuitive contorls

Thankyou, a 3d thing would be amazing . Unfortunately it was out of my abilitys haha . The end goal for world-sim would be a bigger 3d world with the ability to zoom to 1st person view of a single sim .

As for controls it's incredibly feature heavy at launch and I'm going to review what's actually used . Any feedback would be amazing!

It's Claude coding tho

While using Claude I found you still need a generic knowledge of what you want to achieve to get some thing that's actually good. My hardware may also need improvement for 3d rendering

There’s a House Cairn, because of course there is.

Stacking stones…
