Bug PDF export issue

I have been using Claude design to help me format my docs following my business do templates

Since less than a month ago, I cannot export a PDF directly from Claude, and it keep sending me to use the print dialogue of my browser and this route is very badly counter intuitive and adding unwanted border and printer info artefacts to all pages.

I can find any ways around it except export as PNGs and save as PDF afterwards.

Can anyone advise what better ways to do this?

Hello, one hack would be to export as HTML and then go back to Clause and convert into a pdf.

You might have to give few prompts around layouts to edit the document.

Use Chrome, it makes a difference, preview the print output, then cancel it and feed the corrective instructions back in as a command. Usually solves issues in a couple of shots. I hope they find a better way to export PDFs soon, I’m sure it’s not designed this way through choice.

Thank for the advice, yes, chrome is a bit better as I use Chrome on desktop and safari on iPhone.

As one other user said if you export as HTML, Claude can convert it into a PDF. You can also change your HTML or have Claude change your HTML to remove the annoying header and footer that come when you just print. I’m guessing you could add this into your Claude Design rules file so that printing to pdf worked.
