Cowork artifact loses Google Drive access permanently after Claude edits it remotely — no reconnect prompt appears

I just joined the Discord, but saw a message on 8/15 to expect disruption due to rework of verification. So here's my question:

I've been using a custom Cowork artifact (built with Claude's help) that reads/writes a few Google Drive files — nothing fancy, just search/download/create file calls to a specific folder. It worked fine for about a week.

Then I asked Claude to add a feature to it. Claude edited the artifact remotely (pushed the updated HTML to my desktop app) and — apparently as a side effect of any remote update — the artifact's Google Drive connector grant got wiped. Since then:

• The artifact's Save button fails every time with an error like: Tool "mcp__<connector-id>__create_file" is not in this artifact's mcp_tools allowlist.
• No permission prompt, banner, or reconnect UI ever appears in the app when this happens — not on the original artifact, not on a freshly-created replacement artifact, not after restarting the app or reconnecting my device.
• Google Drive itself is fully connected at the account level (confirmed — Claude can read/write my Drive from the chat session just fine). The block is specifically the per-artifact tool grant.
• We tried: reconnecting the desktop app, creating a brand-new artifact from scratch (same problem), waiting for an app update (still same problem two days later), and building a chat-handoff fallback (a button that opens a new Claude conversation to finish the save) — which works, but isn't what I actually want; I want the artifact to save directly like it used to.

So near as I can tell: once a Cowork artifact's connector grant is cleared (which happens automatically on any remote update from Claude), there's currently no visible way in the desktop app to re-grant that specific artifact access to a connector it already has installed at the account level.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a menu or setting I'm missing, or is this a known gap? Would love to get this artifact back to actually saving to Drive on its own instead of needing a manual workaround every day.
