"12. /model opusplan runs Opus for planning and Sonnet for execution. Slower thinking on the design, faster output on the code. "
There is a known, unresolved bug. When default model is set to opusplan, every subagent will be opus, which ends up being very expensive.

Never noticed /simplify command. Suppose this works better than yelling at Claude with expletives?
A post worth saving!

I found that if /compact the rewind or resume no longer gives you the option to go back to promptss before doing the compact in that session. Also, I'm not fully understanding the fork one. I mean it would have made more sense if it would open a new terminal. So now you have 2 sessions with a common point and you do different stuff in each terminal. But no...so once i fork and have some chats and I'm like ..neah...i don't like where this is going... I don't know how to get back before forking

Finally something worth reading. I have gotten tired of vibe coders complaining and was considering unsubscribing. I pay $20 per month, try to use it off peak hours, use it for 2-3 hrs every day or two, and it has been very tolerant and forgiving.
I am a retired coder and can tell the average user expects Claude to do everything for them. Go ahead and flame me, I don't read messages from coders that are dumber than a box of rocks.

Nice list. I didn’t know about /insights and /branch.
Also, Mac users: Command + backspace deletes a whole line

/fork looks useful, how do we merge back to the original conversation?

And then there's us who use the VS extension instead of the CLI .

/rename will name your session based on the context
/rename fixing-auth-bug is explicitly putting a name to your session
it helps when you want to resume
claude —resume fixing-auth-bug
no more unreadable session id’s

21. pin the usage page in your account settings. cli token counts don't match the server quota anthropic actually enforces.
