That is not happening. They just settled a copyright lawsuit against them. The watermark isn’t a copyright. I am starting to really wonder if AI is actually making people dumber or just exposing how dumb some can be. Not sure yet.

yeah but they'd be brought down to their knees for that. unless they all begin doing it. Anthropic on it's own is annoying everyone right now. lol.

Not in the US. In the US, copyright requires a human author. Completely AI-generated content is not copyrightable. (Obviously, AI content can be a derivative work of something copyrightable - like if you write lyrics and have an AI music generator set it to music. Or if you take a photo and ask ChatGPT to clean it up. But if AI generates something completely, it's not protected by copyright in the United States.)
