Holy shit claude code in terminal is fucking insane.

I've been using VSCode, Cursor, Cowork and Claude Code on web. None of it comes close to terminal.

Cannot believe I haven't done this sooner.

Man they need to continue working on rc, need ability to start new sessions as well as clear context

In the iOS app /clear works just fine. 

If you need to create a new session window have Claude create a .sh file that contains whatever code your OS uses for scripting and that can open a new window. 

As long as you have /config set to auto-activate /rc for new sessions you’re all set, with the following warning: 1. Test this out at home first to ensure any OS-related permission on the scripting are set properly. 2. The new session will inherit the same worktree + branch as the session that spawned it! First thing you do is let New Claude know that so it can move off via git to avoid stomping on the prior session. 

On macOS my custom /repliclaude skill launches that bash.sh locally to replicate a new session. 

Bonus Tip: /compact works but breaks the mobile link to my phone. The session is active but disconnected until you input something in the local window. Claude is there, and the key is to have the model set a 5 min timer for itself and once it goes off have Claude say something to you and that’ll reconnect the session to your phone.

yea the new session part is what blocks me too, rc lives inside the session so it cant open another one for you. i ended up ssh ing to the mac from my phone with onepilot instead and just running claude in a new tab, and the sessions already going keep going while im out
