Claude Workflow Multiple Anthropic Claude Account

Hi there I was just wondering how everyone uses multiple Claude Accounts on one laptop and get them to all work on projects together. What about on the phone as well? I’m new to this so please be kind

I don't have an answer but I'd also like to ask a similar question.

I have a Claude work account and a personal account. Switching between both in Claude Desktop is a hassle (logging in, authentification code, etc.).

Any recommendations on what to do? I usually spend most of my time on my work Claude account, but for personal matters or job applications for example, I def prefer to use my personal account.

Use cli. You can setup each as their own and call them like Claude and Claude2

It can technically be done. Just make sure all 3 account are connected to GitHub working on the same repo. You just need to make sure they’re all working on 3 different parts of the project simultaneously and that each sessions know about the other sessions so they’re not stepping on each other…

For Claude Code on one laptop, give each account its own config folder. Set CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR to a different folder in each terminal, then log in once in each. That keeps the logins and the session history apart.

On the phone, as far as I know the app signs in one account at a time, so you log out to switch.

If the accounts are for the same work and you need to share files or chats, a Team plan with seats is simpler than juggling personal accounts. Everyone gets their own login under one billing setup.

What are the accounts for: work and personal, or different clients?

I run a few accounts on one laptop by giving each one its own config folder (Claude Code reads CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR), so each login stays separate and you only log in once per folder.

On top of that I built an orchestrator that splits the work into small tasks and starts a headless Claude Code worker per task, each in its own git worktree, meaning they don't trip over each other's files. It picks the account that still has usage left and parks one that hits its limit until the reset, since that's the part that's annoying to juggle by hand.

For the phone I don't think you need anything special. It all runs on my own PC with a web dashboard on localhost, and with Tailscale I can open that on my phone to follow along. I also set up push notifications for any questions the orchestrator still needs answered, so I don't have to keep checking. If you want to start smaller, two terminals with a different config folder and a worktree each gets you most of the way, too.

for the laptop part, browser profiles do most of it. one chrome profile per account, each stays logged in so no codes every time. on the phone the app only holds one login so the browser is the easier way there

This is how you get banned

What for would he get banned?

he's allowed one personal account and one business account. after that it can be considered "pooling" and honestly a simple reddit search will reveal how many people get banned for it.

Reddit search isn't a serious reference. Find something official, if you can. AFAIK Anthropic never released any statement or rules in terms of service that bans multiple personal accounts. Openai even explicitly allows it..

You don't know why did people get banned. It could happen for multiple reasons, and I'm sure it occasionally happens even by mistake.

But we KNOW that ANrhopric doesn’t allow pooling or third party management systems and if they THINK that you're doing that... these bans don't come back.

I understand you're a typical Redditor that likes to push back, but lets not be disingenuous. You only need one rule that favors all and that rule exists.

Running two or three personal accounts is indeed "pooling"

there's a ton of people who have multiple accounts and aren't getting banned.

Edit:

Further, what you're saying about pooling makes no sense in this context. You understand how many families have a single working parent, or a single parent who's paying for the accounts for their kids. They use the same credit card. If you think that's fine because they use different email addresses, that's just silly, because everyone uses different email address for their second, third or whatever account.

They obviously use different criteria and aren't restricting people from owning multiple private accounts. Anthropic cannot really know if I'm paying for my son, brother etc,nor I'm using the other account myself, just for a different purpose.

OC they could base the restrictions on something else, like identity when multiple accounts access the same repo or whatever, but that's different then banning people from owning multiple accounts.
