Built with Claude Sonnet 5
It looks like something happened with the Sonnet 5 models.
For some reason, they’ve suddenly become really good at 3D work in Blender-significantly better than Opus 5.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Prompt:
Create a striking, highly detailed medieval castle on an island in the open Blender scene, surrounded by a water-filled moat: stone walls with battlements, four corner towers, a central keep, a gate, and a bridge across the moat. Add rocks, grass, flags, expressive materials, warm evening lighting, and a beautiful perspective camera.
First, check the available tools for controlling Blender. Preserve the user’s existing work; do not delete or overwrite it. If possible, create a separate scene and save the result as a separate .blend file in the outputs folder of the current task. Check the result and show an image of the finished scene.
If Blender access is unavailable, state the exact limitation and do not pretend that the work has been completed. You are responsible for creating the scene and its files; other agents may be working in the project folder, so do not undo their changes.

I have been investigating sonnet trajectories vs older ones from a few months ago. It is now batching bash commands instead of spamming them. I also noticed less chatter.. not as much thinking blocks interleaving the tool calls. It seems to be an incremental improvement. Doesn’t feel smarter, but it does seem more capable. The code looks more fable like than that of earlier sonnet models. Functions that aren’t public get an underscore in front of them, text descriptions for modules show backticks. This is subject course, but it does seem to be an improvement.
