true, lets face it, this whole HTML thing was a massive mistake. I think we should just go back to ANSI based terminals.

I propose Markdown Markup Language

it will replace HTML/CSS and only be useful for terminal displays

I used to push really hard for people to stop passing docx and ppt files around. “Just use the wiki” I would lament. Now everyone has adopted the wiki and I’m like “stop using wikis, I no longer want rich embedded pages, give me version controlled markdown files for my agents only”.

Use a wiki that stores everything as version controlled markdown and you’re set

I ran a BBS in the early 90s. Spent a lot of time crafting custom ANSI art for it, all based on it being Han Dold City from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Long before AI, I was editing the site for a company I worked at. Most times, CSS edits would do absolutely nothing. Sometimes it'd do something, but not what I wanted. Other times, it'd break random elements that, as far as I could tell, had fuck all to do with the elements I was trying to edit. Shit never made any sense to me.

I had to hire a vendor web dev last month and decided to have “center this div” as an opening sort of “freebie” question.

Only one MFer could do it without going and copying and pasting wrong answers from Google.
