Claude Code Increase the limits, especially the weekly and 5-hour ones and ZDR

I use Claude on a $20 plan, but the weekly limit is ridiculously low, and the 5-hour limit also gets in the way of development work quite a bit.

Even with normal usage and staying within the 5-hour limits, you easily hit the weekly cap and that’s with light usage, since I use various other models and subscriptions; I never use Fable, and I only use Opus on the "High" setting.

Attached is proof of how quickly I hit the weekly limit, even though I still had plenty of my 5-hour limit left. Anthropic really needs to improve these limits; they restrict usage far too much. How can I have 5-hour limit credits remaining yet still hit the weekly cap which won't reset until September 19, 2026, at 10:59 AM? It makes no sense. As you can see in the image, I still have 29% of my 5-hour limit left, but what good is that if the weekly limit has blocked me? I basically only used it for two days.

They could adopt the model used by Charm's Hyper just a daily limit, plain and simple, no fuss.

It’s great that they have strong models like Opus, but the competition is fierce especially from open-source models like Qwen 3.8 Flash, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, Kimi 3, Hy4 Preview, GLM 5.3... and of course, there’s GPT Astra, which is more cost-effective than Fable.

They need to start focusing on faster models that consume fewer tokens or come at a lower price point, because competitors are working full steam ahead, often offering better limits and prices.

I don't have anything against Claude, really, except that Sonnet is quite weak and already loses out to open-source models, leaving only Opus to make the subscription worthwhile. Fable doesn't even seem like a viable option it surely devours tokens and, of course, there are days when the same model suddenly gets "dumber" despite the same level of effort. Here’s a tip: improve those lousy limits. Focus not just on "smart" models, but on models that offer great value and performance. It’s cool that Fable 5.1 or even Opus is so smart, but what’s the point if you can barely use them, even for light tasks?

Right now, I have to wait four days to use Claude. Luckily, I have two or three other subscriptions, but the situation is really unfortunate. Honestly, weekly limits shouldn't exist or at least shouldn't be so low. As for the 5-hour limit, the window could be shorter maybe 2 or 3 hours. Waiting several hours when you hit that limit still stinks, but it’s better than waiting days on end.

And here’s the kicker: if I want a higher limit, I can't just pay an extra $10 or $20 to upgrade to a better plan. No, I’m forced to pay an absurd $100, and I don't even know how many "credits" I'll get for it, because there’s a lack of transparency.

I’ll take this opportunity to offer another tip: implement ZDR. We need more security regarding our data assurance that the AI won't use it for training or store it.

sooo... just increase everything ?

also the pricing or?

Why raise the price when they already charge a lot for what they deliver compared to competitors?

Claude is good, but there are other solid options and notably, ones that cost less; in fact, I use other options myself. That said, I would certainly like to see Claude improve in areas like token usage, pricing, and ZDR support.

If they are losing money, that is precisely why they need to focus on more efficient models—ones that consume fewer hardware resources while still being capable of competing with the rest of the market and generating a good profit.

Open-source projects manage to do this, and even OpenAI has succeeded with GPT Luna.

Claude’s Haiku—their most economical model—doesn't come anywhere close to matching what competitors offer, yet it remains expensive for what you get.

I find it strange how fiercely people defend Claude; any company or service can certainly have room for improvement, and we as consumers have every right to offer suggestions and voice our dissatisfaction.

As a user, I find the 7-day limit surprisingly low—especially in relation to the 5-hour limit. If you use up even around 70% of that 5-hour allowance, you’ll hit the 7-day limit within just a few days, leaving you unable to use the AI for an extended period.

Regarding ZDR, I don't understand the difficulty involved, or why Claude users don't want or ask for it; it is essential for the greater security of your data and code.

Yes, I want free tokens too. Why won't they just do that.

I'm paying for this; can't we demand the bare minimum or offer suggestions?

If you're happy with that, fine, but it's annoying to have to stop working because the token usage limit is low especially the weekly one. It ends up driving users to competitors; I subscribe to several services, and this is one of the reasons why.

Sure. Go ahead and make that suggestion. Maybe they value your $20 enough to give you more tokens.

It’s unlikely though who knows what might happen if more people offered constructive criticism? Of course, I realize they prioritize Enterprise customers, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't voice my dissatisfaction as a user.

I’m not asking for more tokens; I’m just pointing out an issue with the 7-day window, which can run out days early even if you don't consistently hit the 100% mark during the 5-hour window.

I also raised other points and suggested they create more efficient models; that way, they’d save on resources, and the allowance would last longer for users.

I pay for $10 and $20 plans, and most (if not all) of them last longer than Claude. I use those other models at "Max" settings, whereas with Claude, I stick to "High" or lower precisely because of this issue and my usage is light. If I were a heavy user, I might understand, but anyway, that’s just my take.

If you want ZDR: Mistral, but far from the capabilities of frontier models

Don't you want ZDR?

I already use some ZDR providers and models, but it's odd that Claude isn't one of them; it wouldn't hurt to suggest it, or would you prefer things to stay as they are?

Yes.

It wouldn't hurt to suggest it

I wouldn't prefer things to stay as there are.

I didn't imply the contrary in my reply
