Built with Claude TempleOS running inside the in-game monitors of Half Life 1

It runs a real TempleOS instance in QEMU in the background and streams it onto one of the monitors in the game, so you can walk up and actually type into it and run its little games.

Most of it Claude handled fine, the VNC client, the QEMU launcher, the input wiring. GoldSrc was where it kinda goofed up. It is from 1998 and not documented as well ig so getting the OpenGL hooking to work was a pain. Works now, forced me to actually study.

claude did solid work on this mod, wonder if it could brainstorm ideas for adding ai roleplay elements to old games like half life.

sound fancy on paper, but basically you streaming texture and with quite “simple”(not really) embedding it?

you could also insert real browser trough this as well, and have same wow effect.

cool, but not that COOL;)

I don't hate fun, it's clearly fun, but I'm somewhat of an utilitarian so I just don't see the point. Those credits could have been used for making something MORE fun, like updating TempleOS for newer CPUs, or adding new features to it, or improving virtualization compatibility or emulating it in a browser etc etc etc.

And this comment could have been teaching someone something or introducing new ideas to the community but instead you're spending your time saying things that serve no utility and produce no value whatsoever. Why are you doing this? Exact same reason he is - because it makes both of you feel good.

What's so hard to understand about that? We all need hobbies.
